Billy Cobham is near and dear to us, so, excuse our bias. He was an early supporter of, and serves on our Board of Directors. But look at this resume: drummer for Miles Davis, played high school dances with Jimi Hendrix, part of the history making Mahavishnu Orchestra, producer of Spectrum, and decades playing with a who’s who of the world’s best musicians.

The artists joining Billy on the tour are: Jerry Goodman (violin), Dean Brown (guitar), Gary Husband (piano), and Ric Fierabracci (bass).

Donald Harrison, model for the lead character in HBO’s Treme, played with Billy and Ron Carter at the Blue Note just before the start of the tour and we had a chance to talk with them backstage.

When we were scouting clubs in Brazil for, Billy was performing with his European band (he’s lived in Switzerland these past three decades) at the Rio Das Ostras festival. Here’s a clip of the show that closed the event…
