Oops, holidays are over (except for our friends in Brazil and Australia) and back on track with a new slate of shows this month. Katherine Ajk, our artist relations madwoman, is signing up new shows fast and furious. New clubs are coming on, and old partners are completing infrastructure improvements so that they can ramp up streaming in the weeks ahead. Katherine keeps boasting about what a great month we had and, lo and behold, we averaged more than a concert a day in December. We are also having extraordinary artist participation–when given the opportunity, a majority of artists are now saying yes to streaming. Chalk that up to three things: 1) a growing need for artists to connect with fans via real time, social media; 2) a big expansion in livestreaming concerts from big venues to artist living rooms and studios, and ; 3) Katherine is a very hard woman to resist.
