3 Shows, 1 Night: Join ShowGo.tv for Dean Brown (Yoshi’s), Vicci Martinez (Jazz Alley) and Eric McFadden (The Mint)

We know. It’s almost too much to bear. Three great shows, one night: Wednesday, January 9th. As we add clubs and shows, that’s our goal: big choice, every prime time hour.

vicci_web Starting at 7:30pm, straight outta “The Voice” comes Vicci Martinez from Seattle’s premier club Jazz Alley. The singer-songwriter continually goes against the grain both musically and lyrically. When she hits the studio or the stage, she nods to soulful folk and classic rock with an immortal R&B groove beneath everything. On her debut album for Universal Republic Records, VICCI, the world gets to see Vicci for who she is, and it might just be a better place because of it.

DeanBrown Second up, guitarist Dean Brown. We’re excited because Dean is joining Billy Cobham’s “Spectrum 40” tour featuring Jerry Goodman, Gary Husband and Ric Fierabracci. We will be checking out the tour’s opening event at B.B. King’s in New York on the 16th, then will be streaming it from the Mint in LA on January 26th, and from the Blue Note in Milan next month. We also hope to stream the Yoshi’s Oakland and Santa Cruz Kuumbwa shows. Forty years since Billy’s breakthrough jazz/fusion classic “Spectrum” was released. Enjoy Dean live from San Francisco Wednesday with Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Gerry Etkins & Hadrien Feraud. From our friends at All About Jazz.com, “….About twenty years have gone by and Dean’s still bringing it onstage – he’s that into it and obviously, that committed to every measure of the music.”

EricMcFadden1-e1356581274658 Hope you caught last week’s show with Eric. He’s back with the second week of his residency at LA’s iconic club on Pico Boulevard, The Mint. Right across the street from a roadside joint serving the best pastrami sandwich on the west coast. Last Wednesday, Eric started playing just after 9pm, then kept jamming, with and without the band, till well past midnight. Great stage presence, wailing guitar, a lot of fun on the one-of-a-kind Mint stage. Joining him will be:
Michael Jerome – drums (Better Than Ezra, Richard Thompson)
Seth Ford-Young (Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Tom Waits)
Robbie Gennett – Keyboards
Ilan Laks – Painter, Singer/Songwriter
DON’T MISS IT. If you do, well, he’ll be back again next week, but DON’T MISS IT.
